Dad was finally
getting to introduce his son to the world of tennis. Actual tennis,
not just stuff at the local park, but the real thing, the big show,
the ATP tour.
Dad had become a tennis player, and soon after a tennis
junkie, right about the time his son was born. Now, four years
later, tennis was the man’s passion, and his son, four-year-old
Eamon – named after his Irish great grandfather, with big blue eyes
and even bigger pink cheeks – was his life. They had trekked together from Los Angeles to
Indian Wells for the Pacific Life Open, one of the largest tennis
events in the US,
